General Description of the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide IT help desk support to GOAL staff such as hardware and software support, get the installed programs up to date and maintained correctly with applying GOAL Global IT policy.
The IT Support Specialist assists users who are having problems with software, computers or peripherals such as printers or scanners access points.
Also to set-up, install and troubleshoot, service, upgrades for IT equipment’s and applications.
The role based Antakya with ability to support other GOAL working area in Turkey Generally.
To formulate a daily plan so that all tasks are performed in a time efficient manner
Ensure all PC’s are up to date with anti-virus software
Ensure only approved applications are in use
Ensure all laptops and tablets are locked and working probably
Apply Goal IT policy
PC’s, printers, scanners and any IT devices, to be maintained to a high standard
Maintains system capability by testing computer components
User accounts management
Prepares reference for users and network equipments by writing operating instructions.
Permissions of Shared folders to ensure that data integrity is maintained.
Ensuring backup SOPs are upheld and maintaining integrity of data, perform monthly test restores
Ensure IT equipment is maintained and that equipment such as servers wire and wireless devices are checked regularly for alert/issues and that environment the equipment is kept in is maintained (in terms of Air conditioning etc.)
To carry out work out of office hours where necessary to do so
Ensure all filters and roles for internet security are working probably and update it in case of updates is require.
Ensure take backups out of laptops and synchronized it with file server/network file storage.
IT help desk daily support to be provided for software and hardware.
University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the IT industry
CompTIA A+ technical courses or similar
Experience in IT help desk Software/Hardware maintenance
Windows 7 – 8 operating system installation and maintenance
Experience in Microsoft office programs
Experience in Windows 2008 Server active directory. DHCP services
In depth knowledge of DHCP, IP addressing schemes, DNS
Knowledge of backup solutions software and hardware
Networking – Experience at basic level of network switch and routers connections Troubleshooting and resolution of network issues.
IT security credentials – an ability and knowledge to identify vulnerabilities within the network and possible exposures to the network.
Very enthusiastic and keen to work hard to achieve the objectives of the programme
Good level spoken and written Turkish, English and Arabic preferred.
Microsoft MCSE, MASA certified
CompTIA N+ technical courses or similar
Programing skills, experience in C#, Visual studio, ASP.NET
