Support to Life (STL)is an independent humanitarian agency working in the field of disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness, and emergency response in Turkey and the surrounding region. With an emphasis on community participation, STL works at a grassroots level to build local capacity, mitigate the risks and impact of disasters, and support those in need in meeting their basic needs and rights.
In line with its mandate STL currently has the following main activities:
Relief aid and protection for Syrian refugees: in response to the increasing number of refugees in Turkey, STL is supporting refugees living outside camps in the Turkish border area with a food security programme, and providing psychosocial support through the establishment of Community Centers;
Child labor in seasonal agricultural work: STL has been working with at-risk children, sensitizing farmers and raising awareness among the public in an effort to contribute to eliminating child labor;
Civil Society Disaster Platform: in collaboration with partners, STL has launched a platform that will bring together civil society actors in sharing information and coordinating projects related to disaster management in Turkey.

Overall Responsibilities: The Project Manager is responsible for the smooth running and coordination of all project activities in Hatay.
Main duties and responsibilities
Develops work plans for Food Security (FS) and Cash Based Intervention (CBI) activities in line with project proposals and takes decision to see the implementation of the plans.
Manages the allocated budget for FS and CBI activities.
Coordinates and supervises FS and CBI activities, in line with established work plans.
Oversee the effective management of records, files, folders, and supportive documents of all implemented activities.
Ensuring synergy with other STL programs in the area of operation.
Day to day supervision and support of team members under his/her supervision; overseas general management of team.
Ensures the recruitment of team members, and their orientation and mentoring as necessary and in line with STL policy.
Ensures that a sound monitoring and evaluation plan is in place and followed up for all activities.
Ensures that reporting guidelines, policy and procedures of STL and donors are taken into consideration.
Establishes contact and maintains communication with FS and CBI related project stakeholders in Hatay Region, as delegated by the Field Coordinator.
Represents STL with stakeholders such as public authorities, local governments, INGOs, national NGOs, and others in Hatay Region, as delegated by the Field Coordinator.
Carries out needs assessments in the field for the design of new project proposals.
Ensures that relevant information flow takes place from projects to STL Communication and Fundraising department for improving external communication, PR, and fundraising.
University education in a relevant field
Training in a relevant field such as nutrition/food security, social work, youth work, and education is desirable.
Fluency in English (excellent written and spoken)
Knowledge of Arabic is a distinctive advantage
Minimum 2 years’ experience with field work and project management, preferably in the field of humanitarian aid
Sound knowledge of and skills in needs assessment, project planning, proposal writing, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation
MS Office proficiency
Good understanding of and engagement with the humanitarian context and the key principles of accountability, impartiality, neutrality, independence and cooperation;
Intercultural understanding, sensitivity and adaptability;
Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and adaptable communication skills
Strong commitment to teamwork and coordination;
Manages team effectively, providing motivational leadership and showing ability to delegate, negotiate and make decisions.
