STC is Looking, Monitoring, Evaluation,Accountability,Learning (MEAL)Coordinator
The MEAL Coordinator is a central part of the SC Syria Programme MEAL team based in Antakya to support the implementation of the overall response MEAL system. He-she will report directly to the MEAL Manager and will be the focal point for all MEAL related activities at the Country Office in Antakya. He-she will drive the implementation of the response MEAL system in coordination with the partners and the sector programmes,consolidating the STC data management system across the response.
He-she will work closely with the MEAL team to ensure that the data needed to track progress against commitments is flowing from the filed level to Antakya, is being reviewed to increase data quality and inform project adjustment where necessary, and is available in a timely manner to provide decision makers with the information they need to make evidence based decisions. He-she will manage the thematic MEAL officers and will coordinate with partner MEAL staff to ensure proper running of the MEAL system across the programme. He-she will support the senior knowledge Management Officer to develop and roll out a centralised data management system for the Syria response. The MEAL Coordinator will also support the implementation of activities for integrating a high level of beneficiary accountability across programme including the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for digitised data collection. He-She will generally coordinate the central MEAL team and programme teams to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively across the programme.
