Working in coordination with the humanitarian community, IRC currently addresses the needs of war-affected Syrians from several operational bases in the region. Our activities focus primarily on the supply of vital medications and medical equipment, non-food items, water and sanitation, education and child protection and form part of an over-arching humanitarian response in the region that seeks to assist refugees, IDPs and war-affected Syrians survive conflict and displacement.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Under the supervision of the Center Manager, this position will oversee all aspects of administrative tasks for the Iskenderun Women’s Center. This position will supervise the Center cleaner and officer helper.
Responsible for the opening and closing of center.
Oversee daily movement plan and vehicle schedules in Iskenderun.
Manages Women’s Center Cleaner and Receptionist; Set clear performance objectives for staff ensuring quality of work, timeliness, and schedules.
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; raising purchase requests and tracking progress; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintain equipment and furniture inventories; ensure that assets and property are managed and tracked according to IRC policy; Track storage and supplies.
Monitor security of Women’s Center, tracking team field visits and reporting issues to Center Manager.
Liaise with Supply Chain on all logistical processes, including fleet/transport and procurement
Liaise with Finance Department on all financial approvals related to procurement and advances ensuring accuracy of documentation and timeliness of processing
Ensure all center staff timesheets are received in a timely manner and shared with appropriate managers.
Maintain proper filing system.
Provide information by answering questions and requests as needed.
Following up on Center repairs and maintenance as needed.
Ensure Center is kept clean and orderly.
Cover for reception area as required.
Handling all other administrative tasks as required and requested by the Center Manager.
Key Working Relationships: SC, Finance, Turkey Field Coordinator, Program Coordinators, Managers and Officers, Center Teachers
Position Reports to: Center Manager
Position directly supervises: Cleaner and Receptionist
Education: Degree or certification in Management and/or Administrative field
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative or related expertise.
Language Skills: Good command of English language and Turkish (spoken and written), Arabic language skills a plus.
Computer Skills: Good Computer Skills required – Windows and MS Office, Excel is a must.
Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Willingness to put in extra hours as required.
Good team player.
Working Environment: The Center Support Officer will be based in Iskenderun, Hatay.
