The overall objective for DRC in Turkey is the protection and promotion of durable solutions to displacement affected populations on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights with more immediate objectives focusing both on the immediate subsistence needs, protection and self-reliance support as well as a more long term focus on capacity building. DRC works with beneficiary communities and individuals to prevent and reduce protection threats, and build resilience. Connected to this is the key objective of providing emergency assistance to conflict displacement affected population in Syria and neighboring countries. In 2016 DRC is running the Special Needs Fund (SNF) program in four locations. This role will coordinate these activities, supervise the team leaders, ensure a high quality harmonized approach, and carryout capacity building with field teams.

About the Job
DRC is looking for a Case Management Coordinator for its program in Turkey. In close cooperation with the Protection Program Manager and Head of Programs, Case Management Coordinator is responsible for
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Programming & Operations
Overall management of 4 CM Case Managment Officers and field operations.
Supervise the identification, processing, and case management of SNF’s cases
Ensure SNF guidelines are implemented uniformly across the each project location.
Participate in the weekly SNF committee to evaluate special needs cases and determine tailored intervention.
Ensure the quality implementation of the SNF.
Ensure that the national SNF database is functioning properly and being used by the field office teams correctly.
Oversee the completed work plans for SNF protection staff.
Prepare procurement plans for SNF activities at each location.
Manage outputs and maintain oversight of SNF budgetlines.
Contribute to regular reporting on achievements and challenges related to the SNF component of various projects.
Participate in developing DRC Turkey strategy by feeding in input from field
Participate in facilitating and coordinating activities within the team and with other DRC’s departments
Capacity Building :
Provide capacity building efforts of the CM Officer and Sr. Officers
Facilitate the continuous assessment process and provide support to staff conducting the assessments when needed
Coaching and mentoring of SNF staff as needed
Referrals and Mainstreaming :
Enhance country wide service mapping and ensure referral mechanisms are functional
Ensure activities across all projects, including monitoring, conform to basic minimum protection requirements
Coordinating with Monitoring & Evaluation
Ensure that SNF data tools are harmonized across project locations.
Supervise weekly data submission, cleaning and compiling of SNF cases and follow up
Participate in the internal evaluation of the programme as needed
Work closely with the monitoring team and the project manager on the timely monitoring and evaluation of the Special Needs Fund, referrals and assessments
If requested by the protection manager, represent DRC in the protection working and sub working groups and interagency planning workshops
Represent, and where necessary advocate on behalf of, DRC with local authorities and donors
Additional Duties :
Any other duties related to the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
University degree or advances training/ course in sociology, social work, international affairs, humanitarian or related field;
Must hold the right, or ability to get, the right to work in Turkey.
At least 3-5 years of relevant professional protection experience with a humanitarian aid organization. You should have proven ability to organize, mentor/train, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Minimum 2 year in a similar position with project management experience.
Experience and strong knowledge of case management.
English essential (Turkish and Arabic is an asset)
Previous DRC experience and/or experience with donor funded projects is a strong asset
Advanced level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Experience working in the field (preferably experience from Southern Turkey)
Experience with case management protocols desirable
You have to hold a Turkish citizenship or residency or valid passport with valid visa (the residency application will be required at the moment of the recruitment)

Understands rights and protection issues of refugees, children and women – experience working with Syrian refugees is an advantage;

Experience working in teams.
An understanding of humanitarian/civil society issues in Turkey and the region
Proven interpersonal, representation, negotiation, promotion and diplomacy skills,
Strong communication skills (Both verbal and written in English, Arabic and / or Turkish a strong advantage.)
What we offer:
DRC Turkey offers an employment contract of 7 months with the possibility of extension (depending on funding). The position will be based in Hatay with frequent travel to other DRC Turkey offices in the country as directed. We offer a fair compensation package depending on your qualification and experiences as well as additional allowances such as relocation allowance and living allowances, if applicable. DRC Turkey is income tax exempted.
