The overall objective for DRC in Turkey is the protection and promotion of durable solutions to displacement affected populations on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights with more immediate objectives focusing both on the immediate subsistence needs, protection and self-reliance support as well as a more long term focus on capacity building. DRC works with beneficiary communities and individuals to prevent and reduce protection threats, and build resilience. The IT Assistant will have responsibility for ensuring the communications and technological support for DRC operations in Hatay province. This involves developing a user friendly systems in DRC office, GHs and centers.

About the Job
DRC is looking for a IT Assistant for its program in Turkey. In close cooperation with the Senior Logistics Officer and Head of Procurement and Logistics, the IT Assistant is responsible for
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide IT assistance, and hardware and software troubleshooting to staff
Connecting staff’ computers to the Office Network.
Installing Internet connection and follow-up with the maintainance of the network
Configuring network/programmes/equipment (laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, tablets etc..)
Assist with procurement and implementation of new servers, technology, etc.
Troubleshooting network connection issues
Monitor printers, copiers etc.. to make sure they are working properly and getting regular maintenance.
Any other duties related to the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
University degree from a relevant field.
Demonstrated skills in PC troubleshooting, software and hardware support, networking, data backup.
Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
At least 2 years of experience in IT and database management systems (MySQL, MS ACCESS and MSSQL)
NGO experience preferred
At least 1 year of experience (in a paid or voluntary capacity), and NGO or similar setting (Preferable)
Excellent communication skills in English and fluency in Turkish or Arabic.

What we offer:
DRC Turkey offers an employment contract of 8 months with the possibility of extension (depending on funding). The position will be based in Hatay with possible travel to other DRC Turkey offices in the country as directed. We offer a fair compensation package depending on your qualification and experiences as well as additional allowances such as relocation allowance and living allowances, if applicable. DRC Turkey is income tax exempted.
